Me in my national costume

18 years ago I started embroidering this festive costume from Tromsoe (my home town). It took me 3 years to finish it. This year is the first in 12 years that the costume fitted me again, and it was fun to be able to wear it on our national day and again at a wedding yesterday. The blue fabric is a fine woolfabric, and the shirt and apron is made from raw silke. The big flowers (called Tromsoe palms) is made with heeps of french knots ( I got to be quite an expert).

Landing on my feet

Hi you all!

This has been a tiresome spring so far, breaking up and moving. I have landed on my feet in a new home for me and my boys, a little flat in a nice neighbourhood. No sewingroom, but I`ll manage :) I hope to get into the sewing spirit soon!

The training continues, I have so far lost 34 kg! Last Saturday I ran 10 km in a race in down town Oslo. I finished in 1 hour and 6 minutes, and as you can see I was very happy.

Have fun sewing!
